Susan Brauer as Technology Dean
DeVry University recently announced the appointment of Susan Brauer to technology dean of its Chicago campus. She will oversee a number of engineering, computer and electronics degree programs. Brauer brings to her new role her extensive technology management experience from the corporate sector. Before joining DeVry, Brauer was a Section/Technical Manager in RF Product Design & Development at Motorola, were she managed hardware and software development, and multi-national design teams. Prior to Motorola, Susan was responsible for the design and development of High Power RF Systems at Argonne National Lab. Brauer has been active in a variety of professional organizations including the Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology (ABET), the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), women in Engineering (WIE), the Society of Women Engineers, and actively participates in several high school and university outreach programs that encourage students to pursue technical careers.
