Susan Brauer holds a BSEE and an MSEE from the University of Illinois at Chicago and was the former Dean of Academic Affairs at DeVry University, Chicago. She is founder and president of the multi-faceted company, Dreamers Tapestry, Inc, and author of “Just Keep Dancing”, her personal odyssey of abuse and triumph which was awarded top honors in the prestigious Illinois Woman’s Press Association’s (IWPA) Mate E. Palmer Literary and Communications Competition.

Having been among the 2.5 million American women per year that are abused, through Just Keep Dancing Susan provides for the reader a look into the tapestry of her life and turbulent 20-year relationship and marriage to her childhood sweetheart, recounting how that relationship turned abusive and then ultimately violent and dangerous. Then in detailing the event that forced her to make a major life change and telling how this self-awakening brought control, hope and success into her life, Susan leaves the reader with this powerful message, “It truly is never too late to live happily ever after”.
